The Target Advancing Design (TAD) initiative welcomes MCAD design students to apply for participation in a mentorship program during the 2026-27 year.
This program is open to any students with a design major or minor (COM, ILL, GRD or PROD), MASD and MAGWD students, Creative Entrepreneurship students with a design focus, or MFA students with a design focus.
This mentorship program will guide students to careers in design through professional mentoring, specialized virtual and in-person learning opportunities, networking, and the development of hard and soft design skills. MCAD student applicants must commit to a minimum one hour meeting with a Target Team Member each month to participate.
MCAD will select 20 participants in the 2026-27 academic year. Each participant will receive an $850 stipend to participate. Students who participated in last year's TAD are welcome to apply, although preference will be given to first-time applicants. Applicants must be in good academic standing and have no current disciplinary sanctions or restrictions.
Please complete this form by Friday, October 2 at 5:00 p.m. CT. Students will be notified if selected. Students must accept their placement by email and attend a required onboarding Zoom in October.
