You're invited to the inaugural preview screening of Hiding in Plain Site (HPS): International Public Art Short Film Festival, celebrating the creativity of artists and the talents of filmmakers. This one-time private preview is 7:00-9:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 25, at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
HPS features 12 short films exploring public art in its many forms, from murals and memorials to community-led projects, installations and creative interventions in public space. As Minneapolis filmmaker and HPS juror Maribeth Romslo summed up: "Across cities, rivers, deserts, neighborhoods and continents, these films reveal artists transforming the spaces around them and inviting us to see the world differently."
Please register for the event through our private Luma invitation.
We are extremely grateful for our partners, including FilmNorth (fiscal sponsor), the International Sculpture Center, the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, the Institute for Public Art and the NowYouSeeMe! initiative. And special thanks to our HPS jurors Noa Karavan-Cohen, Leon Tan and Maribeth Romslo.
We hope you'll join us in celebrating the power of cinema to reveal the diversity and potency of public art.
