SAFETY BULLETIN--Motor Vehicle Theft

On Tuesday, April 16, 2024, a motor vehicle theft from Lot C was reported to MCAD Campus Safety at 7:19 p.m..  In reviewing video footage, a Black Hyundai Tuscon was seen entering the lot at 7:06 p.m. via a sidewalk on the south side of the lot.  Within two minutes three individuals had gained access to a White Kia Soul parked in the lot, started the vehicle and exited via the same path used to enter the lot.    Two of the suspects are of medium height, slim build and dark hoodies.  The third was short, wearing a white hoodie with a black and red decal on the back.  Minneapolis Police were notified of the incident.

Safety Tips

  • Be aware of your surroundings
  • Close your windows and lock your doors whenever you leave your car, regardless of how long you plan to be gone.
  • Consider the use of steering wheel locks or other anti-theft devices
  • Report any and all suspicious people and incidents to the Campus Safety immediately (612) 874-3555
