Latent Luna: Temporary and Fleeting

Expanded Processes, Spring 2023, 3rd floor, Alcove 3b

Lumen prints are non-fixed photograms made on traditional photographic paper (gelatin silver paper). Paper is taken out in a red safelight darkroom. Objects are placed on the paper and exposed to UV light. During this exposure, the image creates a latent image. The prints installed will disappear. As the paper takes on more light, the prints will darken over time, leaving minimal trace of the original objects that made their mark during the initial exposure.

These photographs are temporary and fleeting.
