Important 2024 Fall Break Information

3D Shop

The 3D shop will be closed on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29 for Fall break. We will resume regular hours on Saturday, November 30 (noon to 5:00 p.m.). Starting Monday, December 2 (and for the rest of the semester) the shop will be open Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday 8:00 am to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday noon to 5:00 p.m.

Art Cellar

Fall break hours:

Monday, November 25—Wednesday, November 27: 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Thursday, November 28—Sunday, December 1: Closed


Cafe

The Cafe will be open regular hours November 25 & 26.

  • We will be closed November 27 thru December 1, and the micro market will be stocked during this time. 
  • We will reopen for regular hours Monday, December 2 @ 8:00 a.m.

Campus Safety

Campus Safety operating as normal. Welcome desk will be closed.

Main Building

Thursday, November 28 to Sunday, December 1: CLOSED to public

Any full time student, staff or faculty wishing to access the building may do so by presenting a valid current college ID  at the card readers at the North, South, or East entrances of the Main Building 24/7.

The parking lot will be operating normally through the Thanksgiving holiday break. Vehicles may not be left overnight.


Exhibition and Studio Services

Exhibition and Studio Services will be closed from Thursday, November 28 - Sunday, December 1. We will reopen with normal hours on Monday, December 2.


Help Desk and Technology

Help Desk Hours

Monday, November 25 through Wednesday, November 27: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Thursday, November 28 through Sunday, December 1: CLOSED
Normal hours will resume on Monday, December 2.

Information Technology Services Office

The Information Technology Services's office will be closed Thursday, November 28 through Sunday, December 1.

Normal hours of support will resume on Monday, December 2.

Media Center

The deadline for personal proposals to check out equipment over fall break is Friday, November 22. 

The Media Center will be closed Wednesday, November 27 until Sunday, December 1, and will resume regular hours of operation on Monday, December 2. 

The Black, Gray, and Sound studios will be closed from Wednesday, November 27 until Sunday, December 1, reopening for use on Monday, December 2.


Printshop & Papermaking Studio

Tuesday, November 26: 9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.
Wednesday, November 27, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Thursday-Friday-Saturday, November 28-30: CLOSED
Sunday, December 1: noon-10:00 p.m.
The Paper Studio will be open for students/faculty/staff with card access.

Students, faculty and staff, with approved Printshop or Paper Studio Access, may work when we are closed, but staffing will be extremely limited, due to the holiday.


Service Bureau

Tuesday, November 26: regular hours
Wednesday, November 27: - 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Thursday, November 28 - Saturday, November 30 - CLOSED
Sunday, December 1: 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Digital Print Lab - open 24/7 but staff will not be available for assistance when the SB is closed.


Student Counseling and Wellness

The MCAD Student Counseling and Wellness Office will be closed for the Thanksgiving break beginning Wednesday, November 27, 2024. We will reopen on Monday, December 2. You are welcome to send an email and we will get back to you when we return to the office.

If you have questions or need more immediate assistance, you may contact the MCAD Student Affairs Office, MCAD Campus Safety, or check the MCAD Intranet under Student Counseling and Wellness.
