Dear MCAD Community,
We look forward to seeing everyone back on campus on February 16, and are eager to be together again as a community. We’re planning to serve coffee and treats for students that first day back; stay tuned for details.
As we resume in-person campus life, we continue to monitor federal immigration enforcement activity in our community. We understand that many of you have questions and concerns about how this activity may affect our students, faculty, staff, and campus operations.

These valentines were made by MFA student, Becky Mutrux, by making handmade paper from cotton and abaca. She then dyed them these pastels colors to resemble the candy “Conversation Hearts.” Becky printed the hearts using hand set type using the Showcard Press.
Please feel free to take a Valentine and envelope to send to your own Valentine!

As we move into remote learning for the upcoming weeks, the MCAD Library would like to remind you that they are open, and are a great option if you want to grab a cozy corner and log into class from the Library. They have lots of great study spaces, plus sunshine and plants. The Library also has Seasonal Affective Disorder(SAD) Lamps available to use both in the Library, or to check out and take home just like a book. Ask a Librarian for more on how to check out a SAD Lamp.
