Reminder: Deadline To Withdraw From Fall 2025 Courses Is Friday, November 14

Hello everyone,

This is a reminder that the deadline to withdraw from a Fall Semester 2025 course and receive a notation of W is Friday, November 14 at 5:00 p.m.

If you plan to withdraw from a Fall 2025 course and have not already done so, be sure to submit a Course Withdrawal form immediately.  Forms are available on myMCAD.  Students can locate them on the Registration tab.

If you withdraw from a course, the W on your transcript will not impact your GPA.  It will factor into your attempted credits; MCAD students must complete at least 60% of the total credits they attempt.

Withdrawing from individual courses will not impact your scholarship or financial aid, with the potential exception of GI Bill benefits.  Withdrawing does not impact your student status (i.e. if you are a full-time student, you will still be considered a full-time student after a course withdrawal.)

Do not wait to submit any pending withdrawals.  Any students intending to withdraw who miss the November 14 deadline will receive a regular letter grade (A+ through F), per faculty assessment of their attendance and performance in the course.

Be sure to follow up with your advisor to establish a plan to complete your withdrawn courses in the future.

Please contact Records at records@mcad.edu if you have any questions about this.

Thank you!
