On November 17, 2025, at approximately 1:50 AM, a Campus Safety officer observed a light-skinned individual wearing all-black clothing with their hood up walking away from The Hive Parking Lot on foot. Upon reviewing security camera footage, the individual was seen gaining access to a blue Toyota Corolla. The subject also accessed the vehicle’s trunk and appeared to leave with property.
No vehicle windows were broken, and no forced entry was observed. After confirming the unauthorized access, Campus Safety conducted an area patrol, but the individual had already left the vicinity, heading westbound on 26th St. E. The vehicle’s owner has been notified.

Campus Safety reminds everyone to take steps to protect themselves and their property:
- Lock your vehicle and ensure all windows are closed when leaving it unattended.
- Avoid leaving valuables in plain sight; store items in the trunk or take them with you.
- Park in well-lit, populated areas whenever possible.
- Report suspicious activity immediately to Campus Safety at 612-874-3801 or to Minneapolis Police by calling 911.
- If you are a victim of a crime, notify Campus Safety so we can provide support and assist with reporting.
