If you are currently an undeclared student with 30+ current credits, you must declare your major by Friday, Oct 18th, in order to be advised by a faculty advisor and register on Advising Day, Nov 5th.Otherwise, you will register with the undeclared students later in November. If you do not declare, you will need to attend a Group Advising Session to gain registration clearance before Nov 13th.
If you would like to declare your major in time for advising and registration for the spring semester, please review the following step-by-step instructions, it’s easy peasy!
Locate the Declaration of Major Form under the Records Office tab on the MyMCAD Portal.
Complete the form and submit.
Follow up via email with the Department Chair of your intended major. Ask to set up a time for an informal meet and greet with your Department Chair:

Erik Brandt, Design (Illustration, Comic Arts, Graphic Design, Product Design [now includes both Product and Furniture Design])
Howard Quednau, Fine Arts (Drawing/Painting, Sculpture and Expanded Media, Print Paper Book)
Olaf Kuhlke, Creative Entrepreneurship
