Dear MCAD Community,
Yesterday, we shared information about a threatening email that had been received by several members of the MCAD community and reported to law enforcement.
Since then, we have learned from the FBI and our law enforcement partners that similar messages were sent to multiple institutions across the region and appear to be part of a broader swatting or hoax effort. At this time, there is no known credible threat to the MCAD campus.

Dear MCAD Community,
Earlier today, several members of the MCAD community received an email containing language that referenced potential violence on campus.
We immediately reported the message to law enforcement and are actively coordinating with our public safety partners to assess and monitor the situation. We are taking this matter seriously and will continue to follow guidance from law enforcement and provide updates if circumstances change.

Dear MCAD Students,
This is a reminder that MCAD will experience a planned Data Center electrical outage on Wednesday, May 20 and Thursday, May 21. During this time, most campus technology services (including internet, wireless access, printing, and several institutional systems) will be unavailable.
