CAUTION: MCAD Help Desk discourages upgrading to macOS 27 Golden Gate

Hello from the MCAD Technology Help Desk,

With the release of Apple's new operating system earlier this week, we have found that Apple no longer supports AFP (Apple File Protocol), which is the primary network server connection protocol that we use for macOS computers on campus.

While we are looking for alternatives, we STRONGLY urge all macOS users that need to use any of MCAD's file servers (Class, Studio, Service Bureau, etc.) to not upgrade to macOS 27 Golden Gate.

Food Shelf - Walking Group

Additionally, the Basic Needs Pantry (formerly part of the Free Shelf) is now in the Wellness Lobby (Lower Morrison), open during office hours.
