Reminder: Deadline To Withdraw From Fall 2025 Courses Is Friday, November 14

Hello everyone,

This is a reminder that the deadline to withdraw from a Fall Semester 2025 course and receive a notation of W is Friday, November 14 at 5:00 p.m.

If you plan to withdraw from a Fall 2025 course and have not already done so, be sure to submit a Course Withdrawal form immediately.  Forms are available on myMCAD.  Students can locate them on the Registration tab.

Emergency Parachute Fund

It provides limited financial assistance to currently enrolled students who are unable to meet expenses due to unforeseen hardship, including temporary housing, food supplies, transportation, mental health support, and other essentials. Students must also have exhausted financial aid available to them. Award amounts vary based on need and availability of overall funding dollars. Maximum request is $500.

Join MCAD's Queer Affinity Group for a Holiday Letter Drive!

Materials Provided for letters to Incarcerated LGBTQIA+ people (but please bring stickers, small art, etc if you have some!)

Write a letter! Draw a picture! Spread some support!

Black & Pink focuses on liberating incarcerated LGBTQIA2S+ people and people living with HIV/AIDS who are affected by that system through advocacy, support, and organizing.

Come write letters or add some art to support this community during the holiday season!

Van trips are back, hosted by our incredible team at Campus Safety.

Meet at the MCAD front desk at 4:00 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday for a free lift to The Quarry Shopping Mall if you need to shop for any groceries or supplies.

Utilizing the Grey or Black studios with a different lighting setup for each image, students made Joiner portraits of a person, object, or “thing itself”.

They considered the frame – What part of the subject are the focus on in each frame of the photograph? How will they come together?

They considered time – How will the passage of time be shown in the overall image, how can the final assembly / composition enhance elements to the foreground of the composition?

SO many cool things. This week we want to highlight the Junior Scientologists Club: A club for people who want to see movies on the big screen, as the film gods intended. Non-members are welcome to come to any movies that sound like a good time! (Not affiliated with the Church of Scientology). This week’s film screening is one of the all time greats, it's Face/Off!!!! Come check it out!
