Office of the President: Addressing Recent Events

Dear MCAD Community,

Today is an unbearably sad day for Minneapolis, with the horrific mass shooting this morning at Annunciation Catholic School that killed two children and wounded 17 others, including 14 children.

There are simply no words for this kind of community pain. It comes amid a 24-hour cycle of gun violence that, through several events in Minneapolis, has resulted in multiple deaths and serious injuries.

Know Our Safety Protocols

Dear MCAD Community:

Unfortunately the City of Minneapolis has experienced four shooting incidents in nearby neighborhoods in the past 24 hours. Because MCAD is located in an urban setting, campus administrators are always monitoring these types of incidents to determine if any actions are required.
