It’s in the loss of a loved one, the loss of innocence, the loss of a feeling of safety. What if these fragments could also be used to prompt change?

In collaboration between Smitten Kitten and Neighbors Helping Neighbors, a screening of WTO/99 is being hosted at MCAD: an immersive archival documentary that depicts the four-day clash between the then-emerging World Trade Organization (WTO) and the 40,000+ people who took to the streets of Seattle in 1999 to protest the WTO Conference and the WTO’s impact on human rights, labor, and the future effects of continued globalization.

This message is for all students who plan to complete their degrees in December 2026 (all programs), Master of Arts students who are planning to complete their degrees in August 2026, and staff and faculty who are assisting them with planning as they finish their programs.
Intent to Graduate Forms are available to be submitted now! Students can find the form on myMCAD on the Records Office tab under Online Forms.

Pro Prac Con! Tuesday, March 10th, 1:30-3:30 p.m. This Tuesday, students in the Spring 2026 Professional Practice Comic Art sections will be hosting a Comic Con in the College Center! Swing by, browse, trade and check out some of the awesome work MCAD's Comic Majors are creating.

MCAD is thrilled to announce the return of the annual Self-Portrait Contest! Submit your best 9" x 12" self portrait in any medium by Wednesday, March 25. Three winners will be chosen to receive $100 Art Cellar Gift Cards and their self portrait displayed on campus! All entries will be included in a larger, digital gallery.
Submitted images of artwork should be .jpg or .png, and at least 300 DPI.
