Announcing the 2025 Van Derlip Awards
In 1923, with income from an endowment fund established by Ethel Morrison Van Derlip, MCAD established the Ethel Morrison Van Derlip Traveling Scholarship.
This year Van Derlip Awards in the amount of $2,500 each will be awarded in the following departments;

Purgatory Fest is a student-led film festival that is full of cool dudes. We want to give a chaotic spotlight to emerging artists, and a film festival experience unlike any other.
Purgatory Fest will be held at Bryant Lake Bowl on May 14 at 7:00 p.m.!
People say that art is subjective... NOT HERE.
Submit your film for divine judgment: Heaven... or Hell?
Accepted films will be subject to audience vote: Is your film worthy to pass the Pearly Gates, or gnarly enough to dance with the Devil?
Two winners walk away with prizes and titles: God's Most Special Boy or Satan's Most Special Sinner.

Hello everyone,
Please join me in congratulating our 2025 MA in Sustainable Design Program Merit Scholarship Award students. We received a wide range of highly competitive submissions and we thank everyone for their participation.

Thank you to all of the undergraduates who participated in the Healthy Minds survey. MCAD will receive all the data later this year. This information helps MCAD determine resources for students. Participants were able to opt in to a drawing for an Art Cellar gift card. There were three winners- Congratulations to Joelle, Alison, and Aila! Please pick up your gift cards in Student Affairs.
