SAFETY BULLETIN: Fatal Shooting Near Campus

On Thursday, October 15, 2026 at approximately 11:30 p.m., Minneapolis Police responded to a report of a man down in an alley in the 2600 block of Third Avenue South, near MCAD. The man had sustained a gunshot wound and died at the scene.

The Minneapolis Police Department is investigating the incident. No arrests have been reported.

There is no known ongoing threat to the MCAD campus related to this incident. Campus Safety is aware of the incident and remains available 24/7 to assist members of the campus community.
