Adobe CC on Lab Computers for CE Courses and Non-Privileged Users

If you're looking for instructions on how to install Adobe CC on a personal computer as a CE student, check out this article instead

Due to how Adobe manages licenses for the Adobe Creative Cloud software, any user that wishes to open and run an Adobe application on MCAD owned hardware, such as lab computers or multi-user office workstation, will be required to log in with an Adobe ID. Most full-time students, faculty, and staff will be provided with an MCAD managed Adobe ID, and they can use that information to log in on the lab computers without impacting their license counts. However, not all users at MCAD receive an Adobe ID from the college, and those who do not will need to create their own personal Adobe ID.

This process is relatively straightforward and free. Users can log in with any Adobe ID - they don't need to be associated with an active Adobe subscription. Adobe has a help article that they keep up to date with the current process, and any users that need to create a personal Adobe ID should visit the following link to get instructions on how to create one:

How to create or update an Adobe ID

After an Adobe ID has been created, simply login to the workstation that you wish to use, launch an Adobe program, and sign in with your newly created Adobe credentials.

If you run into any issues creating an Adobe ID, please contact the MCAD Help Desk by emailing helpdesk@mcad.edu or by phone at 612-874-3666.
