Students participating in the MCAD Laptop Initiative know that their access to many applications is "keyed." This means without the ability to talk to our key server, MCAD's group-licensed applications will not open. You may run into problems with Key Access if your laptop doesn't have internet access, you're using an internet connection which doesn't allow your laptop to talk to our server (e.g. some coffee shops), or you are outside of your four years of software support.
When you don't have key access, you won't be able to launch or use these keyed applications:
- BBEdit
- Corel Painter
- Final Draft
- FormZ
- MaxMSP
- OmniGraffle
- OmniOutliner
- Toast
