How can I have a color laser print of my file made?

Inexpensive color printing can be done through the Service Bureau or Library using one of the color laser printers.

For printing on nicer paper, custom paper, and press quality prints, use the full-service Konica Color printer in the Service Bureau:

  1. File>Print
  2. Choose the Printer: SB-Konica-Color
  3. Check your Page Setup
  4. Format for the SB-Konica-Color
  5. Choose your paper size: US Letter (8.5x11"), Tabloid (11x17), Tabloid Oversize (12x18), Super B/A3 (13x19)
    1. Check out the paper samples in the SB, not all paper types are available in all paper sizes
    2. you may print on custom sizes if you provide paper! (no smaller than 5x6", no larger than 13x19")
  6. Print!
  7. A printer icon will appear in your dock, wait for that to disappear before shutting your laptop! (the print is "spooling" or processing still)
  8. Come to the Service Bureau and step up to the counter and ask an employee to release your print for you!
  9. We will ask you a series of questions regarding your file:
    1. What is your user name? (your first initial/last name)
    2. Confirm paper size, page count, copy quantity
    3. Do you need any special paper? (the standard paper in the Konica is nicer/heavier than a plain copy paper, anything else is "special")
    4. Do you need this duplexed? (double-sided/printed on both sides of the paper) If so, what is the orientation of your print on the page?
  10. We will then charge your Papercut account for the print and paper! (make sure you have enough funds to cover your project, you can always ask for a quote before we hit print, we have a variety of options to make your project fit your budget!)

For printing on plain copy paper, use the self-service HP color printers in the Service Bureau and Library:

  1. File>Print
  2. Choose the Printer: SB-HP-Color for the Service Bureau, Library-HP-Color for the Library
  3. Check your Page Setup
  4. Format for the Printer you chose
  5. Choose your Paper Size: US Letter (8.5x11") or Tabloid/Ledger (11x17") are the only options
  6. Hit Print!
  7. A printer icon will appear in your dock, wait for that to disappear before shutting your laptop! (the print is "spooling" or processing still)
  8. Go to the Service Bureau or Library and locate the printer
  9. Log into your Papercut account from any computer or your phone, go to Jobs Pending Release, and hit print! (or log into Release Station and hit print)
