Students in certain Continuing Education classes are given free access to the Adobe Creative Cloud software for the duration of their enrollment in that class.
When you first received your laptop from the Help Desk, whether as a student receiving a MacBook to keep or as staff/faculty receiving a loaner, you were asked to set up a user account on that computer with the same name as your MCAD Login usernam
Many users at MCAD have access to a free Adobe Creative Cloud subscription through their MCAD user accounts. This includes all degree seeking students (including graduate students), all faculty, and full-time benefits eligible staff.
Due to new licensing restrictions on the Adobe Creative Cloud software, any user that wishes to open and run an Adobe application on MCAD owned hardware, such as lab computers or multi-user office workstations, will be required to log in with an Adobe ID.
MCAD users on older versions of our software build may have FormZ pre-installed on their computers with a license key that expires every year. As such, users may need to renew this license to use this software each academic year.
Effective fall 2018, MCAD is no longer providing or supporting Final Draft scriptwriting software in the lab and laptop builds.

Students participating in the MCAD Laptop Initiative know that their access to many applications is "keyed." This means without the ability to talk to our key server, MCAD's group-licensed applications will not open.
