Alias Email Addresses
You may notice a version of your email address that is formatted "firstname_lastname@mcad.edu" displayed in some MCAD systems, such as Canvas or Paylocity.
Windows Accounts & Security
Windows Account Credentials
MCAD staff members are given Windows credentials if they have a Windows computers at their workstation or if they use Windows servers or other services.
Reset Your Password
Students, faculty and staff can change the password of their MCAD Login without assistance, provided they know their current password.
Account Name Change
If you are a student, faculty, or staff member at MCAD and would like to change the name associated with your MCAD accounts, this can be done without sacrificing any account access or stored information. The process is slightly different depending on if you want your Institutionally Recognized First Name changed or if you've had a legal name change. These two processes are described below.
NOTE: At this time, our systems are unable to support Institutionally Recognized Last Names. Your last name can only be changed if it is part of a legal name change. As such, the last name that appears on all of your accounts and records must be your legal last name. We apologize for any inconvience.

In order to access MCAD servers from a Windows computer, you'll need to install and use a program called an SFTP client.

Your class may make use of a class server for handouts and turning in assignments. Your instructor will notify you if your class uses one.
